This had me in tears. It is a video of a husband getting revenge on his wife. Hilarious. You can watch it on You Tube since the poster disabled the embed feature for the clip.
Do you remember the singing salesman that performed on Britain's Got Talent last year? His name was Paul Potts and he was phenomenal. I posted about it last year. Why am I telling you this?
Well, it appears that American television has done it again and placed themselves as second in line while playing follow the leader to Britain television. Last night America's Got Talent had Neal Boyd (a professional singer), another overweight salesman, singing the same song Nessum Dorma. Not only have they copied the show, they even copied the acts. Unbelievable, I say. The only thing that was different is the fact that Jerry Springer's commentary made me laugh. Here's the clip.
Now, I have nothing against Neal. He is a great singer but there just seems to be something wrong with this picture. Nonetheless, here is Paul Potts again. It's fun to try and sync them.
My son loves music. He loves to dance. To bad he got my dancing genes. Below is a video his aunt Julie took. Enjoy.
About a week ago, we were getting my 2 year old son ready for bed. He had just finished his bath and gotten his pajamas on. We sat him up on our bed while the TV was on. While my wife was doing a few other things me and my boy started flipping through the channels while he sat there and sipped on a cup of milk. We came across ESPN2 and they were airing a motocross event in San Diego.
"Bike," he yelled.
"Yes, those were bikes." I kept surfing the channels.
He leaned over to me put both his hands on my face, made me look at him in the eyes, and said "Bike!".
"Ok, I'll put it back on the bikes." As I made it back to motocross, he smiled, pointed, and once again said "bike."
So, at the age of two, my son loves bikes and motorcycles. I am ok with that, I actually like them too. The only problem is that every night before we go to bed, he wants to sit on our bed and watch the bikes. ESPN doesn't carry motocross every night so we have to endure the repetitive requests for "bike, bike, bike, bike, bike."
Thank-you YouTube and all the people who contribute to the site. Particularly, DemonChick88 who provided an 8 minute compilation of freestyle motocross that you can watch below. I don't know who you are DemonChick, but last night you were seen as an angel as we opened up the laptop and sat it in front of our son. He fell fast asleep watching "bikes."
Yesterday, Dave treated the company to a showing of Ben Stein's documentary Expelled. It was a treat. Ben Stein has a great sense of humor.
In terms of a documentary, I thought it was very well done and was really enjoyable to watch. Plus, the point of the documentary, I thought, was even better. Ben Stein actually sets out to open the door (or tear down the walls) to discussing the issue of intelligent design as a legitimate argument in response to Darwinism. What I found most interesting about the documentary is that Stein does not argue in favor of intelligent design, but simply provides arguments that it has just as much of a place in science as Darwinism when it comes to discussion. In fact, he doesn't even try to make intelligent design an idea that belongs to Jews, Christians, or other faiths. He simply lays it out there as an idea that has just as much merit as Darwinism.
I know many people of faith, will be upset Stein did not push the envelope further and argue the existence of God in this film. However, I think the fact that he didn't gives his message more weight in the realm of scientific study and academia.
Here's a teaser from the film. If you've seen the film, what did you think?
Today is the last day for Leigh, one of our temps at the office. We'll miss all of her humor but other things in life have taken her fancy. Take care Leigh.
While we're on the subject of goodbyes, here is a British short film by Robbie Williams entitled "Goodbye to the Normals".
I got a funny email yesterday. I thought I would share it.
President Felipe Calderon of Mexico has announced that Mexico will not participate in the Beijing Summer Olympics.Ok... on a more serious note but still on the lighter side, I ran across the following video on Dan Miller's blog. The video just goes to show you that blue collar jobs aren't the only ones being farmed out to other countries.
He stated:
"Casi cada uno que puede funcionar, saltar, o la nadada ha salido ya del pais."
Translation:
"Pretty much everyone who can run, jump, or swim has already left the country."
First there was Screech from Saved By the Bell, but now keeping with the entourage trend there is a new group of geeks on TV that we love. The CBS show The Big Bang Theory has made the list of shows I watch regularly now. It's about four socially challenged geeks who live across the hall of a beautiful girl. Sheldon's character, played by Jim Parson's is my favorite. You'll also recognize Johnny Galecki from Rosanne and Kaley Cuoco from 8 Simple Rules.
Below is a YouTube clip taken from last night's episode. During the show, reference was made to this clip on youtube and the poster was also mentioned a few times. I think it is neat when a show tries to blend into reality. This is like NBC's The Office making Dwight's Shrute Farm a hot spot on one of the travel Web sites.
Anyway, I hope you watch the show and enjoy it. I hope it stays around awhile.
This is a great public service announcement done to raise awareness for cyclist in London. However, the application of this little test could be used far beyond the world of cycling.
I've discussed in the past about how much we like our Nintendo Wii. I have also talked about how the Wii is very popular among senior citizens, especially in retirement homes. Then, today an email with the following video clip came to me. It's the first time I have seen it, but it just proves that the Nintendo Wii really is fun for ALL ages.
I think this is one of the coolest things I have seen. I'm not sure how I would have reacted if I saw this happen in person. If it were a group of 10 people it wouldn't have been a big deal, but to see 200 people across this huge venue, I'm not sure if I would have freaked out or not. This took place back in 2006.
Over 200 Improv Everywhere Agents froze in place at the exact same second for five minutes in the Main Concourse of Grand Central Station. Over 500,000 people rush through Grand Central every day, but today, things slowed down just a bit as commuters and tourists alike stopped to notice what was happening around them.
Do you remember Paul Potts, the singing salesman who dropped the jaws of millions with his performance on Britain's Got Talent? Well, until today I didn't know there was another performance on that same episode that will simply bring you to tears. A six year old named Connie sings Somewhere Over the Rainbow in a way that is "absolutely brilliant."
My parents had several bird feeders when we were growing up but the squirrels always ran the birds off. The squirrels could figure out how to do the impossible. There was no such thing as a squirrel proof bird feeder. It makes since I guess. A squirrel's life is spent entirely searching for food when humans only give a small portion of time trying to keep them out of feeders.
However, my dad thought about it for awhile and here is what he came up with. He took the guts out of an old Bug Zapper (don't you love that sound?). He then rewired it so that when a squirrel tried to jump from the bird feeder pole to the bird feeder itself, the squirrel would then complete the circuit and send 120 volts through the yard rat. The idea was to scare the thing from ever coming back. Well, the first squirrel got a jolt and took off but at the same time caused a short in the Bug Zapper. So the other squirrels enjoyed the bird buffet.
This idea has potential, but I think dad finally lost patience with them. Oh well, here is a clip that will show you what these varmints are pretty cunning. I ran across it and it reminded me of squirrel issue above.
So my buddy over at Pour Out found this first and I don't mean to steal his thunder, but this is just too good not to share with those of you who may not see it otherwise. This kid's impersonation of Dave Ramsey is spot on. We may see him on Saturday Night Live some day.
If my vote were swayed by commercials alone, Huckabee would have mine and here's why...
I saw it on The Blog Channel
This is a video clip of a girl whose Daddy has listened to Dave Ramsey and as a result told his daughter that the "Princess Express" card is a bad idea. He is teaching his little girl that "credit cards" are bad. You can watch it here. I'm sure there are grown ups who probably act worse than this when it comes time for them to give up their credit cards.
Way to go dad! I Love it.
