My Response to Sarah - Thou Shall Prosper

As I checked my email tonight, I saw where I had an interesting comment on a recent post about Rabbi Daniel Lapin's book Thou Shall Prosper. It was from a Jewish girl who asked me several good questions about my response to the book. I thought some of you might be interested in reading the dialog and perhaps contribute yourself. You can read the post and comments at the following link.

@Sarah: I hope you see this and respond. Thanks for the questions.

Great post Ben.
I love reading your blog.
I have a favor to ask.
I was wondering if you and your readers could stop by my blog and leave a comment for a family who is suffering in an incredible way. Please...It would mean so much and can make a difference for them.
God bless you Ben as you serve God may all of his richest blessing fall upon you brother!
In Him,
Kinney Mabry

Hey Ben,

I just realized you posted here - I just commented on your response to Jan 30...I feel like I'm kind of pushing it a little so I hope my more recent questions don't make you uncomfortable...

I know we are online and I can be totally honest as an anonymous commenter - however you - not so much. I mean can you respond to my question and say "yes, you are right, after reading the book, now when I see my Jewish friends I think of money" or can you say "yes, now when I meet someone and I know they are Jewish I think about money"?

And since this is anonymous I can confess my own stereotype - I have a hard time picturing you even having a Jewish friend since you are a Christian man in the south - in Nashville which I picture as a big "grand ole opry" town full of country music singers. (I apologize if I sound disrespectful, I really don't mean to be. It's just that my friend ruthie made the point that you probably don't even know any Jewish people and I really couldn't argue with her.) So - now that I have confessed our (my) own stereotypical idea of you - is it true? Do you have any Jewish friends?

So can I add that to my more recent questions?

It may be hard to believe, but I am genuinely sincere when I sign this "respectfully".

Respectfully,
sarah
